Around Salzburg you will find some of the most beautiful lake landscapes in Europe. Nestled in the Austrian Alps and in the immediate vicinity of the metropolis of Salzburg, you will find locations that are ideal for your events thanks to their unspoiled nature, their supporting program options and their modern event infrastructure. But what are we talking about when we talk about the Salzburg lake district?

To give you a better overview, here's some orientation:

In the country side of Salzburg, you will find three regions that impress with their beautiful lakes: the Trumer Lake District, the Salzkammergut & the Zell am See Kaprun region.

As you can see, it's not easy to choose! That's why we have summarized the individual regions and the corresponding hotels, locations & supporting program offers for you.

The Trumer Lake District

The Mattsee, Wallersee, Grabensee and Obertrumer See lakes make up the Trumer Lake District in the north of Salzburg. The majority of the lake landscapes are under nature protection, and some of them have been since 1996. The result: great nature experiences and drinking water quality in the lakes, just a few minutes drive from the city of Salzburg.

Lake Fuschl and the world-famous Lake Wolfgangsee are the highlights of the Salzkammergut in the Austrian foothills of the Alps, just a 25-minute drive from Salzburg. With its microclimate, Lake Wolfgangsee stands for the best air quality.
