Salzburg Convention Bureau (SCB) now has a new online look. The organisation is responsible for marketing the event and congress facilities available throughout the city and province of Salzburg – and now offers the benefits of a modernised, redesigned website (www.meetsalzburg.com). The entire design language and content of the site has been completely reworked, and the new website is state-of-the-art in technical terms. A large share of the several thousand customers who contact us every year, do so via the website. The new site offers a chat function and a page for customised offers.
“After a very intensive period of preparation we are delighted to announce the relaunch of our website”, explained Gernot Marx, Managing Director at Salzburg Convention Bureau. “Alongside the use of social media, the website is our most important online flagbearer – and a modern site says a lot about us as a professional information platform that works on behalf of companies and event agencies from all over the world. As regards the design, we placed particular emphasis on creating modern aesthetics and a simply structured interface in tune with our current corporate design guidelines to ensure the site guarantees easy usability.
Focus on interactivity, a simplified search assistant and a chat function
SCB insists upon clearly structured navigation, speedy page uploads for all devices – and interactivity. Customer options now include a chance to make contact with SCB specialists using the online chat function. Another practical feature is a pinboard enabling a collection of content gathered on the website to be sent via email. Among the core functions of the new site is the search assistant, which divides the hunt for content into three main categories: ‘Hotels & Locations’, ‘Event Agencies & Service Providers’ and ‘Side Events’. SCB now offers a comprehensive tool for potential clients seeking service providers, services and offers for events to be staged in the province of Salzburg. The new assistant now makes Smartphone-based searches much easier than ever before.
Another key development for the Convention Bureau was to make its customer magazine ‘#meetSalzburg’ available on the website in a special online edition. This regular publication is produced by a highly professional editorial team and features items like ‘Salzburg Stories’, and issues such as event organisation and event marketing. It has an 8000-copy print run and is distributed to around 15,000 readers as an email newsletter.
