Faculty of Natural Sciences Salzburg
A large and modern building complex of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the Paris Lodron University Salzburg is located in Nonntal. The modern research facility features impressive architecture and an adjacent botanical garden. NAWI is also a perfect venue for events such as seminars, presentations, congresses and meetings.
Since March 2017, the laboratory building in Salzburg-Itzling has become part of the Faculty of Natural Sciences at the University of Salzburg. The building's main entrance is adorned by a three-meter-high sculpture of Christian Doppler, the world-famous Salzburg physicist and mathematician. In addition to laboratories and offices, the building also has several modern lecture halls and seminar rooms that can be rented for external events.
The lecture halls of the Faculty of Natural Sciences NAWI
Located in the Nonntal district, NAWI's architectural masterpiece houses a variety of lecture halls. Three larger lecture halls of the faculty are ideally suited for events such as congresses, conferences and presentations:
- Audimax HS 401: 300m², 62 seats.
- Blue lecture hall HS 402: 142m², 20 seats
- Green lecture hall HS 403: 140m², 20 seats
In addition, there are another 19 lecture rooms with capacities ranging from 8 to 24 people in the Nonntal faculty. Those rooms are ideal for seminars, meetings and smaller events. Two of them are specific IT rooms with the latest technological equipment.
In the new laboratory building of Paris Lodron University in Salzburg-Itzling, are two larger lecture halls and a seminar room for external events:
- Christian Doppler Lecture Hall: fixed ascending seating for 137 persons, plus three barrier-free seats, completely dimmable
- Lise Meitner Lecture Hall: fixed seating for 117 persons, three barrier-free seats, completely dimmable
- Seminar room on the 1st floor: loose seating and tables for 66 people, completely dimmable
All rooms in the laboratory building are equipped with a beamer and state-of-the-art seminar technology. The laboratory building in Itzling provides additional three rooms for a total of 320 people, which are suitable for all kinds of events such as congresses, presentations and conferences.

Together with the University of Salzburg, the scientists of the university and the congress experts a well-founded concept was developed.
