Supporting program for beer lovers and do it yourself fans

In Obertrum in the Salzburg Lake District, not far from the city of Salzburg, beer lovers and do it yourself fans will get their beer experience at Axel Kiesby's various brewing courses.

In the historic building of Braugasthof Sigl, your participants have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of beer and brewing. Step by step, together with a master brewer or qualified beer sommelier, the fascinating Austrian beer specialty is brewed. Different brewing courses are offered depending on interest, previous knowledge of the group.

The popular “Classic” brewing course takes place in the "Bierkulturhaus" and guarantees active participation in every step of the brewing process, including professional supervision by the master brewer. In addition, participants have the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes as part of a guided tour of the Trumer private brewery and the participants' physical well being is also catered for. 

The “Classic” brewing course at a glance:

• Active participation in all stages of beer brewing including professional supervision by a master brewer and/or beer sommelier
• Tasting of classic beers from Germany and Austria
• Brewer's buffet with roast pork, dumplings and coleslaw (vegetarian alternative possible) including drinks
• Guided tour of the Trumer private brewery
• Brewer's honorary certificate for “Traditional Brewer” and 2 x 25l barrels of home-brewed beer incl. tapping device
