For 130 years, the SchafbergBahn has been running directly from St. Wolfgang to the 1,783-meter Schafberg, with its distinctive peak one of the most beautiful panoramic mountains in Austria. During the ride you can enjoy wonderful views of the Salzkammergut and once you have reached the top, the surrounding lakes glittering in competition.

This program can be combined with a rustic snack in the Himmelspforte hut. In addition, there is the possibility of renting the SchafbergBahn cog railway and the Himmelspforte hut exclusively for your group.

Optional: Book a mountain guide for hikes and exciting information about the Schafberg, its history, flora and fauna and much more.

This tour is suitable for up to 200 people and you should plan around 3 hours. The colleagues at Salzburg AG Tourism will be happy to help you with detailed planning at any time.
