The "Original Sound of Music Tour

This 4 hour bus tour tells the story of the world famous Trapp family in Salzburg. The Hollywood musical "The Sound of Music" by Rodgers & Hammerstein was filmed in Salzburg in the 1960s and won 5 Oscars. With Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer in the leading roles, Salzburg became the "Sound of Music - City" overnight.

The bus tour with live guide offered by Salzburg Panorama Tours not only shows the filming locations in the city of Salzburg, but also leads to the Salzkammergut. Panorama Tours transported the actors and film crew during the filming in Salzburg and was therefore companion of the first hour.

The Original Sound of Music Tour is ideally suited as a social program for congress participants and is offered as a public tour in English twice a day. It is also suitable as a private tour for incentive groups and is available daily, subject to availability.

The Sound of Music Tour Salzburg includes original shooting locations from "The Sound of Music" movie:

• Mirabell Garden and Pegasus Fountain, where Maria and the children danced in the movie
• Nonnberg Convent, where Maria was a novice
• Schloss Leopoldskron, the house, where the Trapp Family lived in the movie which is now a luxury hotel
• Hellbrunn Palace (singing scenes in the movie)
• Gazebo (now placed in Hellbrunn), where the Baron von Trapp kissed Maria for the first time
• Church Mondsee, where Maria and the Baron get married
