The via ferrata "City Wall" is located in the middle of the old town of Salzburg. On a guided or individual tour you climb on the secured rock directly above the roofs of the city. This sporting adventure reveals an unique city perspectives!

The Salzburg "City Wall" is easily accessible from July to October. From March 1 to June 30 it is usually closed due to the falcon breeding season.

Arrival to the via ferrata experience in Salzburg

The entrance to the Salzburg via ferrata "City Wall" is located at 430 meters above sea level in the Glockengasse at the foot of the Kapuzinerberg. On foot, it takes about 15 minutes to get there from Salzburg's main train station. If you take the city bus, we recommend the Hofwirt stop or a stop near Linzergasse. The car can be parked in the parking garage Linzergasse.

Right next to the entrance to the parking garage, a sign draws your attention to the via ferrata "City Wall". Your via ferrata adventure starts at this starting point with or without a guide. If the via ferrata is closed, you can easily pick up the key in the nearby Akzente Salzburg building (Glockengasse 4c).
